The Power of GAM Copper: Indoor & Outdoor Solutions
Positron GAM Copper for Indoor Units
GAM-12-M
GAM-12-M 12 Port Indoor unit for use over Copper pairs
The GAM 12M for Copper is designed to optimize coverage over your existing wiring infrastructure to avoid the high cost of installing new fiber. High-speed Gigabit Internet Services are more stable, which reduces support calls and customer churn. The GAM software extends its management capabilities to the G.hn end-point (aka G.hn to Ethernet Bridge) devices. The GAM hardware enforces per-subscriber bandwidth profiles and guarantees a fair and balanced use of the backhaul link at all times for value-added services such as IPTV, streaming and telephony. Its extensive support for VLAN (including Q-in-Q) allows for seamless integration with the operator fiber services and the OSS and BSS functions already in place. The service OAM capabilities of the GAM provide real-time information to the operator about the overall grade of services without any additional cost or complexity.

G1001-M and G1001-MP
G1001-M and G1001-MP G.hn for Ethernet for GAM Copper 12-M and 24-C Pairing
The Positron G.hn to Ethernet Bridge (G1001-M for twisted pair, G1001-MP for twisted pair and POTS bypass) is a Managed Demarcation Point that connects to a Residential Gateway (RG) that does not have native support for G.hn on its WAN port.
The G1001 devices control how a Residential Gateway (or User CPE) connects to the G.hn Access Network under the control of the Positron GAM. In this role, they make sure the information transmitted over the G.hn links is protected with strong AES-128 encryption.

G1002-M
G1002-M G.hn for Ethernet with POE for GAM Copper 12-M and 24-M Pairing
The G1002 series supports the ITU-T G.9960 G.hn Wave-2 standard and is designed to operate over the existing telephone wiring (UTP, CAT-3 or CAT-5/5e) or coaxial cabling and deliver a Gigabit Internet service to each subscriber at a lower cost and without the complexity and delays associated with in-building fiber installation. G.hn is used as an Access technology by Operators looking to simplify their access network and backend infrastructure with an Ethernet-like technology that is highly scalable without some of the inherent complexity of DSL-related technologies. With G.hn as the Access technology, Operators deliver advanced services such as Gigabit High Speed Residential Internet and 4K IPTV.

GAM-PWR-12-M+ion
GAM-PWR-12-M+ 12 port Mid-Span Power G.hn Copper Power Injector to power G2002-M+ devices
Positron’s GAM-PWR family is designed speci cally to inject POE as per the IEEE 802.3at standard (GAM- 12-M+ and GAM-24-M+) to power the Positron G2002-M+ End-Point devices. The GAM-PWR-24-M+ is a 24 ports (MIMO only – requires 2 copper pairs) mid-span injector that overlays a 55 Vdc power over G.hn pairs. The GAM-PWR-12-M+ operates over 12 ports and offers the same features as the GAM-PWR-24-M+.
The G2002-M+ device (MIMO) can be line powered over two (2) copper pairs per G.hn link. In this case, it provides a POE feed to a device as per IEEE 802.3af (15.4W) to devices such as Wi-Fi Access Points.

Positron GAM Copper for Outdoor Units
GAM-4-MRX
GAM-4-MRX Outdoor Units
The GAM-4-MRX and GAM-8-MRX respectively have four (4) and eight (8) MIMO ports and support Reverse Power Feed (RPF) from G1001-MR devices, one per G.hn port. The GAM-4-CR has four (4) COAX ports and supports RPF mode from G1001-CR devices, one or more (in Point-to-Multipoint mode) per G.hn port.
GAM-8-MRX
GAM-8-MRX Outdoor Units
The GAM-4-MRX and GAM-8-MRX respectively have four (4) and eight (8) MIMO ports and support Reverse Power Feed (RPF) from G1001-MR devices, one per G.hn port. The GAM-4-CR has four (4) COAX ports and supports RPF mode from G1001-CR devices, one or more (in Point-to-Multipoint mode) per G.hn port.
G1001-MR
G1001-MR for use with Outdoor Units
The G1001-MR G.hn to Ethernet Managed Demarcation Point devices power the Positron rugged IP67 (outdoor and extended temperature) GAM family with support for the ETSI Reverse Power Feed (RPF). Support for RPF facilitates the installation of the GAM outside of the MDU or MTU and in areas where it is not simple or cost effective to install a local power source. The GAM-8-MRX and GAM-4-MRX respectively have eight (8) and four (4) MIMO ports and can operate when powered from G1001-MR devices in SISO or MIMO mode.
The ITU-T G.9960 G.hn Wave-2 standard leverages the existing copper telephone wiring (UTP, CAT-3 or CAT-5/5e) as an access technology that delivers a Gigabit Internet service to each subscriber at a lower cost. This advantage avoids the delays that come with complex fiber installations for infrastructures.
Considered an access technology by Operators who need to simplify their backend infrastructure and access network with an Ethernet-like technology. This application is highly scalable without some of the inherent complexity of DSL-related technologies. Operators increasingly rely on G.hn to extend fiber or fixed wireless Gigabit services and avoid the high capital and operational expenses of a fiber retrofit. The Positron GAM solution is MEF CE 2.0 compliant and is ideally suited to deliver Business Ethernet services in an MDU and/or MTU deployment.
GAM PWR-4M
GAM PWR-4M Line Powering Mid Span Injector
The GAM-PWR-4-M is used to power a Reverse Power Fed (RPF) outdoor GAM-4-MRX or GAM-8-MRX that is connected to an indoor GAM MIMO device and used to aggregate 2 to 8 G.hn ports to extend ber between these two (2) GAMs. This allows the GAM-4-MRX or GAM-8-MRX to operate from the power feed provided by a GAM located next to a local power source, basically providing the Reverse Power Feed similarly to a G1001-MR. The GAM-PWR-4-M requires two (2) pairs (MIMO mode) for each G.hn link.
