AR4214G

 commscope_AR4214G_OptNode

AR4214G 1 GHz High Gain Forward Analog Receiver with ALC

The AR4214G Analog Forward Path Receiver is designed as a plug‐in module for the CommScope NC4000™ and NC2000 series Fiber Optic Nodes. Forward path receivers convert incoming optical signals (from the headend or hub) to RF signals that are sent to the RF amplifier tray. One or more AR4214G modules are shipped with each node—the exact model and quantity dependent on network architecture requirements. The AR4214G receiver features high gain and optical ALC circuitry and operates over 51–1002 MHz bandwidth and supports all currently available band splits: 42–51 MHz, 65–85 MHz, 85–102 MHz, and 204– 258 MHz. Following optical‐to‐electrical (O/E) conversion of the incoming optical signals, level and slope control of the RF signal can be adjusted with plug‐in pads and equalizers (EQ). These levels can be maintained when in ALC mode; this functionality is particularly well-suited for route redundancy applications with unequal optical paths.

DT4600N

commscope_DT4600N 204 MHz Digital Return Transceiver

DT4600N 204 MHz Digital RF Return Transceiver, Dual RF Inputs, Selectable Bandwidth Ranges

The DT4600N Digital RF Return Transceiver is CommScope’s sixth generation Universal Digital Return Platform digitizing either one or two independent RF return path signals from two separate analog inputs. The module’s optical transmit/receive port accommodates a single plug‐in transceiver conforming to the Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) form factor for ultimate flexibility and affordability. State‐of‐the‐art SFP transceivers are available in a variety of transmit/receive wavelengths including dedicated 1310 nm and 1550 nm, CWDM (15 wavelengths), and DWDM (40 wavelengths). There are three data rate options of 2.125, 4.250, or 10.3125 Gbps with their selection being dependent upon bandwidth requirements and transceiver configuration.

NC2000

NC2000 1.2 GHz Scalable Node Platform for HFC and Fiber Deep Applications

The 1.2 GHz NC2000 Optical Node Platform is designed to support both HFC and Fiber Deep architectures. The node’s modular design features two high RF output levels of up to 60 dBmV at 1.2 GHz and 2x2 segmentation. The bottom entry port enables wall, pedestal, or cabinet mounting as needed. The NC2000 includes an RF amplifier module and three module slots that can be populated according to network architecture requirements—flexibility being a key feature of this node. Two of these slots are used for a forward receiver and a DT4250 or DT4600 universal digital transceiver or RT4000 analog return transmitter, with the third slot commonly used for forward path redundancy or segmentation. The node can also be populated with other single-slot CommScope node modules such as an optical switch or EDFA, optimizing performance and reliability for a wide range of applications. When deployed, the Remote PHY module occupies all three available slots, generating the forward signals and providing the return path connectivity for the node.

NC4000S4

commscope_87-11085-RevD_NC4000S4_ScalableNode

NC4000S4 4x4 Fully Segmentable 1.2 GHz Node

The CommScope NC4000S4 series optical node platform supports a wide range of advanced architectures and is ideal for traditional HFC applications. With an output level of up to 50 dBmV (56 dBmV virtual analog) at 1218 MHz on each of the four RF ports of the OA4344EG RF Output Amplifier, the NC4000S4 is designed as a “drop-in” replacement for the NC4000S2 and NC4000SG and can be used to extend the frequency range of the coaxial network in standard HFC architectures. The high gain optical receivers feature automatic level control and support optical inputs between -7 and +2 dBm. All four downstream and upstream paths can be fully segmented. This is achieved using the DT4250 universal digital return transceiver supporting multiple modes of operation, a single (“1-fer”), dual independent returns (“2-fer”) or enhanced single return with increased performance and the option to cascade returns. Upstream transmission is enabled with plug-in SFP modules supporting 1310 nm, 1550 nm, and CWDM or DWDM options.

BP3400C

commscope_BP3400C-00_oblique

BP3400C Quad Digital Receiver Back Plate

The CommScope BP3400C‐00 Optical Receiver Back Plate converts optical signals to electrical signals and passes them through high‐speed connectors to up to four 100 MHz DR3450N Quad Digital Receiver or DR3600N 204 MHz Quad Digital Receiver modules to which it is mated in the CH3000 Chassis. The RR40xx‐00‐PI 2.125/4.250 or the 10.3125 Gbps RR36xx‐00‐PI series dual‐channel optical receiver SFPs are used to receive the optical signals from downstream nodes in the network. Eight such SFPs are used (as shown in the photo) when the back plate is mated to four DR3xxxN modules using 1‐fer mode. Each DR3450N or DR3600N module provides four separate receivers in each chassis slot (i.e., each receiver having a discrete optical input and RF output).

CX3003C

commscope_CX3003C

CX3003C Enhanced Communications Module

The CX3003C Enhanced Communications Module supports the remote configuration and monitoring of modules installed in the CH3000 Chassis through connection to the CH3000 chassis mid-plane alarm bus. The CX3003C does not require a dedicated slot in the chassis; instead, it is mounted on the back-end of the chassis above any PS3xxx power supply module. The CX3003C also supports Web-based management of the CH3000 Chassis.

In addition to compatibility with CommScope’s Opti-Trace® software, the module’s SNMP proxy agent enables equipment monitoring and integration with other industry standard NMS solutions. The CX3003C may also be configured to send SNMP traps to warn operators of various alarm conditions. The CX3003C maintains a separate cache for retention of status and configuration information for all modules installed in the CH3000 chassis.

One of the CX3003C’s two 10/100/1000BaseT ports is used to interface to a standard IP network. The second 10/100/1000BaseT port can be used to daisy-chain additional CX3003C modules to support monitoring of multiple chassis per site, thus reducing requirements for external hubs.
